As I mentioned in a previous blog, the Ritchie Law Office, Ltd. was named as a a finalist for the McLean County Chamber of Commerce's Micro-Business Excellence award. My wife, Kara, joined me as I had the opportunity to represent Ritchie Law Office, Ltd. at McLean County Chamber of Commerce's Gala on January 25th. While we weren't able to bring home the title of Micro-Business of the Year, we are still so honored and thankful to be named as a finalist. This opportunity wouldn't have been possible without the amazing support we get from the community.
This annual, black-tie, event put on by the McLean County Chamber of Commerce was an amazing evening! The event was held at the Double Tree Hotel in Bloomington, IL - with over 700 people attending.
The theme for the Gala was based on the rock band "Queen" with a Queen Tribute Band performing a few of Queens greatest hits. One of my favorite things from that night was the "Champagne Wall". The Chamber had set up a wall so that when you rang a bell - five hands holding glasses of champagne magically emerged (see the picture below) !!
It was a nice night to have a night out with my wife Kara and to see some friends and other professionals from the community. The McLean County Chamber did a great job with the event. Again, it was an honor to be named as a finalist for these business excellence awards.
